Kia Syros EV: The demand for electric vehicles is increasing continuously in India. In view of this pace, all the vehicle manufacturers are preparing to introduce new EV models. Siroz EV seen in testing

This EV was recently spotted at a charging station in Kochi along with MG Windsor. Although the testing model was completely covered, its exterior showed the same design as the ICE version and no major changes were seen.

Design: A blend of modernity and boldness

The design of the Kia Cyros EV is its biggest strength. The vehicle is inspired by its petrol and diesel versions, but has the features of electric vehicles to make it more attractive. At the front, it has a closed grille, which is the hallmark of electric vehicles. Along with this, vertically stacked LED headlamps and sleek LED DRLs give it a futuristic look. The front bumper has silver elements and a radar module, which is part of the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).

Talking about the side profile, the Cyros EV has flush door handles, shark fin antenna, and stylish roof rails. The 17-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels add to its premium appeal. At the rear, vertical LED taillights and a clean bumper give it a modern and sophisticated look. Overall, the design of the Cyros EV is not only attractive but it also keeps aerodynamics in mind, which helps in improving its range.

Features

The company is preparing to give many features like the petrol version in this new electric SUV. It is expected to get attractive exterior elements like LED lights, panoramic sunroof and roof rails as well as premium features like 30-inch Trinity display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, front armrest and ventilated seats inside the cabin. Apart from this, sliding and reclining rear seats can also be provided for the convenience of passengers, which will make long journeys more comfortable.

Interior: Premium and comfortable cabin

The interior of the Kia Cyros EV offers a luxurious feel. The cabin uses dual-tone upholstery and premium materials, making it one of the best in the segment. The dashboard features a 30-inch Trinity panoramic display, which includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 5-inch HVAC control panel. The system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, making the connectivity and entertainment experience great.

The rear seats feature ventilation along with sliding and reclining feature, which is rare in this segment. The 465-litre boot space and 23 in-cabin storage spaces make it extremely practical for families. In addition, ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery, and an 8-speaker sound system from Harman Kardon give the cabin a premium feel.

Performance: Powerful and efficient

The Kia Cyros EV is built on Hyundai-Kia’s K1 platform, which comes with a single-motor, front-wheel drive configuration. The vehicle can be available with two battery pack options – 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The estimated range is between 300 to 400 km, making it suitable for both city and highway use. With fast charging, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes, making it ideal for long journeys.
